1. Kenya - Pray for the breakthrough to record in Bodei language of Tanzania, as the GRN team is facing a lot of barriers.
2. Canada - Pray for the GRN Board as they plan for the annual business meeting later this month.
3. International - Pray for Tim Strauss, (ILT) International Director, as he prepares for and leads the International Leadership Team who meet this month.
4. Kenya - James and Walter were able to successfully distribute GRN recordings among three language groups in Uganda. Pray that the Lord will greatly use the GRN materials to strengthen the local church and be used to reach out to non-church people.
5. Canada - The Board is continuing their search for a new Executive Director. David Elliott, is continuing to serve in the office to make sure the needs of the mission are taken care of. Pray for God's person of his choosing to take on this important task.
6. Belgium - David is involved in recording the Gospel of Mark in Flemish; pray this will go well and that the finished recording will be used to teach many of their Saviour.
7. International - The International Leadership Team recently met in California to review GRN activities around the world. Pray for steps that they will take to move the ministry forward in its endeavor to record new language groups.
8. Pakistan - Pray for Sam and the team in Pakistan; they hope to concentrate their efforts on the Punjabi region this year. Pray the Lord will protect and guide them.
9. Myanmar - Pray for 'David' and 'Stephen' In Myanmar who are under great stress due to the on going violence and unrest in their country. Pray the Lord will encourage and protect then and that the recordings they have made will bring many to faith.
10. Spain - We thank God for Joel and the team in Spain; pray the Lord will prosper their work and that the recording of the Tumi Tiger script in Spanish will go smoothly.
11. Recordist Training - Pray for the recordist that had taken part in the ARTTC training earlier this year. Pray that they will be intentional to use improved methods in their recording team projects.
12. Canada - Pray for Ruth Horan, she continues to sort through thousands of recording documents in order to make sure everything is properly documented in our file system. The accuracy is key to making sure the audio recordings are correctly indicated for download via the web and the 5fish app.
13. Thailand - The Thai team praise God for being able to distribute the Moken New Testament which they recently recorded, and for the opportunity to record in the Nyeu language. Pray for these people groups to receive and hear God's Word in their own language.
14. Africa - Pray for Yousif and Vivian from Australia who are editing recordings in Shilluk and Arabic they made in camps in Uganda, where there are many refugees fleeing from the fighting in Sudan
15. Canada - Pray for Diane Roberts, she volunteers her time to come into the office every month to pay the bills and do the payroll.
16. International - Pray for Rob McDonell as he leads the Technical Services department. This team of Graham, James, David, Tim, Geoff and Darv, with some volunteers, give technical support to GRN worldwide, develop and operate many global applications, and manage GRN's property and warehousing.
17. Canada - The GRN Canada annual business meeting will be taking place today. Please uphold the corporation members as they review the activities over the past year.
18. Pakistan - Pray for the team in Pakistan who are travelling into remote areas of their country. They are making disciples, training missionaries, reaching out to the deaf and telling the story of Jesus in the languages of Pakistan. This is frontline work, and the spiritual opposition is evident. Please pray for them and their families.
19. International - GRN has recordist is some very sensitive countries, in order to protect them from potential harm we chose not the identify them. Pray for protection for those ministering in difficult countries where Christians are often persecuted.
20. India - A local team of Christians in India are hiring a studio for the Malayalam recording project which hopes to record the Look Listen and Live scripts in Malayalam and a minor language with support and advice from Australia. Pray that this goes well.
21. Canada - Marian Elliott had lost hearing over a year ago which has been very trying. Praise God that she has been chosen to receive a Cochlear Implant.
22. Bangladesh - Our brothers in Bangladesh are living through a challenging period where the safety of minority groups, including Christians, is in danger. Ask our Lord to protect and guide them, give them courage and love for their neighbours and enemies. May the gospel go out in Bangladesh in the many languages spoken there and may God's kingdom grow.
23. International - Cyber space can be a dangerous place full of bad actors creating havoc and seeking to make money at other people's expense. Pray that the Lord will guide and empower the Information Systems team in Australia, working to protect and develop the 5Fish app, other online GRN tools and the website
24. Nepal - Give thanks for the team in Nepal as they serve God, recording languages and making the gospel known through our 5fish app. Pray for God's Word to go out widely in Nepal, and for people to respond in repentance and faith. Ask God's blessing upon GRN Nepal.
25. Indonesia - Pray for Indonesia where our two recordists are tackling the task of recording the many languages and dialects in that country of many Islands.
26. Encouragement from Old Recordings! There remain just a few hundred old recordings that have yet to be digitised from analogue media. It is a very delicate and time-consuming process, but well worth it, as this user from Nigeria recently told us: "This is great! I had this on a gramophone in 1970. It drew me to the gospel. I need it for further evangelism amongst my people."
27. Kenya - Pray for Walter and James, as they continue their valuable work of making the Good News of Jesus available to non-readers in East African countries.
28. Unrecorded Languages - With hundreds of languages and dialects still unrecorded, ask God to empower GRN to accelerate recording the remaining unrecorded languages and language varieties without sacrificing quality.
29. USA - GRN USA plans to participate in the Urbana Conference in Phoenix, AZ, in December. Pray for Bryan Wilson, Roland Heck and Tim Strauss as they plan presentations and workshops for this major conference, attended by thousands of young people seeking God's guidance for service.
30. International - Switzerland, South Korea, Germany and Canada are all seeking new leaders to carry on and expand their work. Pray the Lord will call men or women of vision and ability to these tasks.
31. Canada - Pray for the Board as they look at opportunities to undertake future recording projects.
