1. CANADA - Kevin and Ruth Horan are flying to California today with their two children. They will be visiting supporters and family until the 14th. Pray that their flight goes well and they arrive on time.
2. CANADA - Sandy Wilton, has been a faithful prayer warrior for GRN and has been a volunteer over the years. She was promoted to glory last month. Her husband, Glenn Wilton, has served on the GRN Canada board for many years. Please pray for Glenn, as he adjusts to being on his own.
3. CANADA - David Elliott asks for prayer as he works with the auditor regarding the 2024 financial audit.
4. WEST AFRICA - Workers distributing our materials and humanitarian aid in Burkina Faso and Niger face political instability and terrorism. Pray for the Lord's protection as they work and live in this difficult situation. Pray also for John in Togo as he supervises the work in these and other West African countries
5. CANADA - The Board is seeking God's direction for a new director for the ministry. The ideal person is someone who has mission experience and has some financial support already in place. Pray that the Lord will bring a capable person to take on the leadership of the mission.
6. PAKISTAN - The Pakistani team writes: "For the next six months, we are focusing on the Punjabi language group. This will involve language and cultural studies, along with ministry activities to deepen our connection with the community. Please pray for wisdom and success in this outreach."
7. KENYA - Give thanks for Walter and James as they serve God in Kenya. Pray for their current research in preparation for their next recording projects. Pray for their families, God's provision, health, safety and all they need to serve God in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
8. PHILIPPINES - Pray for Mary Ann as she settles into her role as Philippines centre leader, for Jurine as he retires and for Hannah as she works under the new leadership. Pray for new staff to join the team and for David Sinden as he edits the recent Cebuano recordings.
9. CANADA - Marian Elliott asks for prayer regarding the possibility of having a cochlear implant for her hearing. She should be receiving word from the hospital informing her if she is a candidate for the procedure.
10. CANADA - Please uphold the GRN Canada board members in prayer as they seek a new director for the mission. The Board members are; Glenn Wilton, Roy Grant, Keith Larson, Kelly Millar, Bill Pearson and Christina Waters.
11. SOUTH AFRICA - Give thanks for Dalene and her team in South Africa. They have been doing recording and distribution. They are thankful for gifts received, to enable sending evangelism kits (mp3 players and flipcharts) to the Fwe people of Zambia, and to Zimbabwe. Pray for Patricia and Jacobus who are working on scripts and translation.
12. THAILAND - The team in Thailand visited the South of that country recently, distributing 120 MP3 players with the New Testament and other GRN materials to the Moken people in their heart language. Pray the Lord will use these to help the Moken people grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.
13. INTERNATIONAL - Pray for Tim Strauss, the International Director as he provides leadership with initiatives that will strengthen the ministry.
14. CANADA - Kevin and Ruth Horan and their children will be flying back home today. Pray that their flight will go well and they arrive safely.
15. INFORMATION SYSTEMS SAFETY - Pray for the Information Systems team as they work to keep GRN's computer systems and websites safe from hackers and cyber criminals. Pray for the never-ending work to keep systems up-to-date and secure. Also pray for God's protection over sensitive data and the whole audio archive.
16. UKRAINE - Pray for the Centre in Belgium who is providing humanitarian and spiritual aid to partners in Ukraine. Pray the hundreds of Tumi Tigers (talking soft toy) sent to Ukraine will encourage traumatised children as the 'toys' tell them of the love of Christ.
17. CANADA - Pray for Marian Elliott and Ruth Horan, as they prepare the GRN Canada Update for printing. We plan on getting the newsletter out before the end of this month.
18. NEW LEADERSHIP - Various GRN centres and bases are looking for new leadership, either immediately, or in the very near future. Please pray for South Korea, Canada and Switzerland as they search for the right person for their respective roles.
19. NEPAL - Pray for the team in Nepal, they have already recorded all 95 languages and dialects but are hoping to provide additional material for teaching new Christians. Pray that their visits to villages will be a blessing to the people they meet and to the team members and that newly established churches will flourish.
20. INDIA - We are grateful to God for the successful recording of the gospel in the Chamari language. There are no Bibles/Gospel recordings in the Chamari language for the people of India.
21. NETHERLAND - Dutch Centre has just produced recordings in sign language and are thanking the Lord for the donations that made this possible. Pray these DVDs will be widely used to reach the Dutch deaf community and tell them of the Saviour.
22. CANADA - Diane Roberts, financial assistant graciously volunteers her time to help with the office finances each month. Pray for wisdom as she helps GRN Canada and Galcom International.
23. MYANMAR - Pray for David* and Stephen* and their families in Myanmar who are under great stress due to ongoing problems in their nation. Ask our Lord to encourage and bless them and their work. Pray for God's Word and GRN recordings to be used to bring many to faith. (*names changed)
24. INTERNATIONAL - Pray for the International Leadership team as they deal with the overall effectiveness of the mission. They are responsible for setting recording training opportunities plus dealing with challenges facing the ministry.
25. MOROCCO - Thank God for the Kulumi MP3 players and talking toy lambs in the Berber language that were delivered to the remote mountain communities of Morocco. Pray that the people in Morocco will hear the gospel and receive Christ as their saviour.
26. SPAIN - The team are aiming to set up a well-functioning Board this year to guide and support the work there. Pray the Lord will call godly and wise people to this task.
27. NATIONS WITH MANY LANGUAGES - Please pray as we look to tell the story of Jesus in the languages of India, Indonesia, PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, all of whom have many languages. Ask our Lord to show the way forward in each of these nations.
28. EUROPE - There are many refugees and migrants in Greece, Italy and Spain. Pray the work of volunteers using our materials to reach out to these people will bear much fruit.
29. AUSTRALIA - GRN depends on reliable technology; pray for the teams in Australia who develop the website and the 5fish app and face the never-ending task of protecting them against the many bad actors on the internet.
30. INDIA - Please keep Alisha in your prayers as he works on setting up GRN operations in India. He distributed Kulumis MP3 players in Maharashtra, India. The players were in the Marathi language.
31. CANADA - Pray that the financial needs of the mission will be met. These are challenging times with the low value of the Canadian dollar and increasing costs.
